Youth Choose “Neon Vibes, Clean Lives” at Socorro Dance Party

Local teenagers are gearing up for a high-energy, drug-and-alcohol-free night of fun as the SCOPE THRIVE365 Youth Council presents “Drop the Beat: Neon Vibes, Clean Lives!” on Saturday, September 27, 2025.

The free event, open exclusively to 7th through 12th graders, will transform the Socorro Convention Center into a glow-in-the-dark dance haven from 7 PM to 10 PM. The dance party aims to prove that an unforgettable night of fun doesn’t require substances, promoting a positive, healthy lifestyle for Socorro County youth.

Glow-in-the-Dark Extravaganza

The atmosphere promises to be electric, packed with neon lights, glow sticks, and disco balls. Attendees will dance to a live DJ spinning non-stop positive vibes.

“This is all about celebrating the choice to live clean, have fun, and make memories that shine brighter than any high,” said a representative from the THRIVE365 Youth Council. The evening includes several eye-catching features to enhance the glow-in-the-dark theme:

  • Glow Body Paint & Glitter
  • Blacklight Tattoos
  • FREE T-shirts for the first 100 people!
  • Three Gift Card Giveaways!

A Commitment to Community Health

The THRIVE365 Youth Council, a program of the SCOPE Health Council, works to empower students to advocate for a safe, healthy, and happy life for themselves and their peers. Events like “Drop the Beat” are a core part of their mission, offering a safe, supervised, and engaging environment that reinforces a drug-free and alcohol-free lifestyle.

Due to the event’s safety and substance-free focus, organizers have issued a strict “Warning”: NO WEAPONS, NO BAGS of any size, NO OUTSIDE FOOD or DRINK, and NO VAPES, WEED, ALCOHOL, or OTHER DRUGS will be allowed. Anyone attempting to violate these rules “will be asked to leave.”

The Youth Council encourages all eligible students to join the movement, drop the beat, and prove that they don’t need substances to have a good time.
