New Mexico Tech’s Performing Arts Series (PAS) is excited to announce the next event in the Presidential Chamber and World Music Series, featuring Grammy Award-winning folk musician, Black country artist, and American music scholar Dom Flemons.
Flemons, known as “The American Songster,” will take the stage at the Macey Center on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at 7:30 p.m.
A true troubadour for the modern age, Dom Flemons is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and historian dedicated to presenting a vast repertoire of American roots music spanning over a century. His solo career has continued to garner acclaim, including four Grammy nominations, most recently for his 2023 album Traveling Wildfire. He is a two-time Emmy nominee, an International Acoustic Music Award Grand Prize Winner, and a music scholar who interweaves history and storytelling into his performances.
The performance is part of the Presidential Chamber and World Music Series, sponsored by Interim NMT President Dr. Michael Jackson. In a commitment to making world-class music accessible, the event offers free admission or a “Pay What You Want” donation, and families are welcome.
