UNFINISHED BUSINESS! Damien Ocampo wears many caps in Socorro, NM. He’s a State Farm agent and financial advisor, an active football coach and has served two stints as head coach of the Socorro Warriors football team. Ocampo’s also running for a third term as a city councilman in Socorro.
We caught up with Ocampo to talk about his vision, what sets him apart from a pool of candidates and to address the untrue rumor he had moved. State Farm needed Ocampo’s services in Los Lunas, and he has opened a second office there, but Ocampo is in Socorro seven days a week.

The Warriors and Lady Warriors cross country teams ran down three second-place team finishes at the Socorro Stampede on Friday. Alamo Navajo's Lakaya Secatero middle schooler was first place in the girls race and Socorro seventh grader Tracer Montoya’s was second on the boys side. “We want to say big thank you to our volunteers and supporters who came out for the Socorro Stampede and the Community 5K after,” Socorro coach Beth Cadol said....
