OCAMPO: Moving rumors, SNAP crisis, Xmas Food Drive

Unfounded rumors sparked by Damien’s Ocampo bid for a third term on the Socorro City Council have led to fears the annual Christmas Food Drive is going away.

According to Ocampo, nothing could be further from the truth, and in addition to carrying on the 56th straight food drive, he and his wife, Kathleen, have started working to help the community during the government shutdown, which has led to the loss of SNAP benefits for many local people.
