In Loving Memory of Debra Ann Jarrett

Debra Ann Jarrett, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2025, in Socorro, New Mexico, at the age of 70.

Debra was born on December 8, 1954, in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, to Jacintho D. Carvalho and Lydia E. Carvalho. Rooted in the islands’ warmth and spirit, she carried with her the heart of Hawaiʻi wherever life took her. Her laughter, generosity, and unwavering love for her family touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Debra is survived by her two sons, William W. Jarrett Jr. and Justin L. Jarrett, who were the pride and joy of her life. She also leaves behind six cherished grandchildren—Diamond, Destiny, Jewel, Kahana, Everleigh, and Braiden—whose lives she enriched with boundless affection and unforgettable memories.

She is also lovingly remembered by her siblings, Dori Gunn and Ronald Carvalho, with whom she shared lifelong bonds of love and laughter.

Debra’s legacy is one of resilience, compassion, and deep love for her family. Her spirit lives on in the stories she told, the values she passed on, and the hearts of those who will continue to honor her memory.

A celebration of Debra’s life will be held at a later date. In the meantime, her family invites all who knew her to reflect on the joy she brought into the world and to keep her spirit alive through kindness and aloha.
