KYRN radio changes hands and call letters to KNMQ

KYRN FM radio in Socorro has reportedly changed hands and will know operate under the call letters KNMQ. The station was operating under a country format and made a “switch” to Christmas music before settling into a light classic rock.
Owner Steve Edmondson shared a message on the station’s Facebook page. “Thanks for listening to KYRN Mine Country 102.1! Lots of Warrior Sports, local news, great classic country music, and Sunrise Socorro. Thanks to all those that were guests on Sunrise Socorro from coaches to local & state level office holders and candidates for office, those who gave us information about local events and of course Entertainment Erin. Special thanks to Tammy Pace, George Funkhouser, the late Manny Marquez, and Jaun Baeza. It has been a great ride, but it’s time for change. I have been greatly blessed to have the opportunity to share many great moments with you and I will always cherish those moments.”
